Nakia Sutton
Nakia earned her Bachelor's degree in Accounting from North Carolina Wesleyan University and spent more than a decade as a corporate accountant, working with Fortune 500 companies across the financial services and technology industries.
Inside those companies, she saw up close what it takes for a business to reach its major financial milestones. She also saw something else: most small businesses are never shown what is expected of them to get there. They do not know what their books and financials need to look like to qualify for the next step, long before that step ever arrives.
She started Triangle Bookkeeper to close that gap. The goal is to help small businesses build the financial foundation that real growth requires, so that whenever the moment comes to pursue financing, bring on investors, or sell, the numbers are already built to the standard that excellence demands.
A Navy veteran, wife, and mom, Nakia brings the same discipline and commitment to her clients' books that she values in her own life. Based in Durham, she works with businesses across the Triangle and beyond.
